The last two Sale-A-Bration cards

Hi everyone, I hope you've had a great weekend. Wasn't the sunshine lovely? Here are the last 2 cards we made at card class last weekend. This was my favourite card - I think I just really liked these colours although they look a bit dull in this photo:

The stampset is the FREE Outlined Occasions set and I used Lucky Limeade for the base card, and scraps of Lucky Limeade, Pool Party and Coral Calypso and the Boho Blossoms punch to make the flowers. My favourite Dotted Scallop Ribbon border punch and some Calypso Coral card created the border. I also used the fantastic Every Day Enchantment FREE Sale-A-Bration designer papers. The sentiment was stamped with Staz-On ink and coloured with the In Colour markers which match all the papers and card colours. Here are the close ups:

Now for the last card. This is actually very similar to one I have shown you before here. This time I've used Crumb Cake for the base card and I've stamped the images using Lucky Limeade ink and the FREE Elementary Elegance stamp set:

I used Pear Pizzazz seam binding and Tangerine Tango for the lovely little rose. It should have had a rhinestone in the middle but it fell out and I didn't notice until after I had taken the photos. Here's a close up of the flower:

To make the flower, I punched a large circle, cut it into a spirral and rolled it up. This works equally well with the scalloped circle punch too. I've used my Colour Spritzer tool again - can you see the 'speckled' effect?

Anyway, I hope you like these cards. Remember, if you want any of the FREE products, contact me to place a £45 order. I'll be showing you a preview of our Mother's Day class project soon - we'll be making a flip photo album with a matching card, so keep looking and don't forget to book your place if you want to join in with us on the class..x

The first two Sale-A-Bration cards

Hi everyone, as you know we were making a card with every Sale-A-Bration stamp set at class this week. I know you've had a sneaky peek but here are the first 2 cards in detail. Here's the first one using the Fresh Vintage stamp set:

I am trying to use some different colours combinations so for this card I used Cajun Craze and More Mustard with Very Vanilla. I used Cajun Craze ink and my favourite Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch. The sentiment was punched using the Word Window punch and the Modern Label punch. A strip of designer paper completed the card. As you can see all the colours and papers coordinated beautifully, taking all the hassle out of card making. Here's a bit of a close up. Sorry it's on its side:

Now for the second card. This one uses the Sprinkled Expressions stamp set:

This time I used a white card with Melon Mambo and Concord Crush. I stamped the flower and sentiment in Melon Mambo ink and used the scalop circle punch with the 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" circle punches to create the sentiment flower. One of the flowers from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch pack was used to create the 3 small flowers, finished with a rhinestone in the centres.

Here's the close up:

These stamp sets are extremely versatile and yours FREE with a £45 order. Give me a ring if you want to place an order. x

Happy Aviary Birthday

Hi Everyone, as promised, this is the Birthday card I made with the Aviary stamp set. For this card I used Coral Calypso for the base card and used the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder to emboss the Whisper White layer:

I stamped the bird cages in Concord Crush and the birds in Calypso Coral ink. The sentiment is from the hostess set Happiest Birthday Wishes - you can only buy this set with 'hostess pounds' earned by hosting a party. If you're interested , give me a ring. Here's a close up of the embossing. I added some glitter to the centre of the flowers but it is difficult to see in the photos:

This stamp set has loads of potential so why not get it? It could help you get a FREE Sale-A-Bration stamp set, free with £45 spent. If you fancy having a play with all of the stamp sets then come along to the next card class on the 22nd February and you'll get a chance to make 4 cards, using all of the 4 sets and Designer Papers. Get well Mum

My mum is having an eye operation next week, so I've made her a Get Well card in advance. My mum loves birds and I have just treated myself to the Aviary stamp set. This set is great!!. You can just play about and have birds in the cages, out of the cages, it's a lot of fun. The Nursery Nest Designer Papers also match the set, although I haven't used them in this card:
I used Pool Party, Soft Suede and Whisper White for my colour scheme and I love how it turned out:

I used a bit of bling on the cages and the Scallop Ribbon Border punch to create a Soft Suede edge to the Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon. I then used one of the Lots Of Tags dies in the Big Shot to cut the tag out of Pool Party and punched a Modern Label shape in Soft Suede. The Get Well sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

The stamp set has a gorgeous little owl image which I just had to use but it didn't really suit the card front - so I used it on the inside of the card. The inside sentiment is from the Sincere Salutations stamp set:

Oops, I've just noticed that I haven't rubbed out the pencil line yet. I used my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to position my owls in a perfect line. It makes this sort of thing very easy. I hope you like this card. I enjoyed making this card so much, I also made a birthday card using the Aviary set. Check back soon for details. x

Happy Valentine's Day

Oh dear. Valentine's Day is nearly over and I'm only just posting this. I was planning to do it this morning but I didn't get a minute. Here is the card I made for my husband:

I saw something similar on the internet ages ago but can't remember who made it, so I can't give any credit. This card was made in Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White cardstock. I punched out lots of leaves, using the Bird Builder punch and then drew a heart shape on my card, after I had put it through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder. I then stuck the leaves down, following the heart outline:

I punched 2 birds from Whisper White and very lightly inked the edges with Crumb Cake ink - just enough to make them stand out a bit. I then stamped the sentiment using my new For my Family stamp set. This contains lots of great words which you can use to personalise any card. The sentiment was punched out using the Modern Label punch:

Naturally the card wouldn't have been complete without a reference to Valentine's Day so I used the Valentine's sentiment from the You Are Loved stampset and stamped it on the inside of the card:

I hope you like this card. It could be used for all sorts of occassions, including weddings and the colours could be matched to anniversaries, bridesmaids dresses etc. Remember, if you would like to buy any of the products, just give me a ring. x

Hello and Get Well Soon

Hi everyone, someone at work hasn't been very well lately so I made this Get Well card. I used Pink Pirouette for the base card and stamped the image from Elementary Elegance in Regal Rose ink:

I used Rose Red seambinding for the bow and the flower was made by punching a large circle out of Concorde Crush, cutting it into a spiral and then rolling it into a rose shape. There is a rhinestone in the middle, although it's a bit hard to see. The leaf is punched using the Bird Builder punch in Lucky Limeade. Here are a couple of close ups:

This card was based on a card made by Heather at Downstairs Designs. The original is here. Where's the Get Well bit, you may ask? Well, I stamped the Get Well sentiment on the inside but you'll have to take my word for it as I forgot to take a photo. Hope you like this card. x

SAB to see you go

Hi everyone, today I'm showing you a card I made for work, as a colleague was leaving our team. I've used Calypso Coral for the base card again (seems to be becoming a favourite). I also couldn't wait to play with the Sale-A-Bration FREE papers - Everyday Enchantment, so have used them for this card:

I cut the flag 'freehand' using my trimmer and die cut the letters using the Big Shot and the Timeless Type Junior Alphabet. I was trying to think what word I could use on the flags. Thought of saying 'Goodbye' but it was a bit long, thought of 'Leaving' but it's the same number of letters so ended up with 'Miss U', which I quite like. The sentiment at the bottom has been printed on the computer.

The flower on the flag was created using the Boho Blossom punch and the little flowers in between the flags are punched using one the punches from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack. I used some of the other In Colours that match the papers to create these - Pool Party, Lucky Limeade and ofcourse, Calypso Coral.

Finally, I stamped the inside using the matching FREE Sale-A-Bration set Fresh Vintage, to create a border in Calypso Coral ink. By the way, the paper the card is lying on is one of the sheets from the FREE  Everyday Enchantment designer paper set.

I hope she likes this. Check back soon for more. x

Thank you card

Good morning, today's offering is a Thank You card made with Outlined Occassions, another FREE Sale-A-Bration stamp set. I wasn't too sure about this set initially but now that I've had a play, I love it. The colours I used are are Calypso Coral for the card base, Pretty in Pink and Melon Mambo for the flower. I'm telling you that now, because the colours look completely different in the close up pictures. This is because I always take my pictures in the dark - it's either early morning or late at night, so I have to take them without natural light. I can't wait for spring and summer so I can take pictures in natural light again - or, thinking about it, I should just take all my photos at the weekend. Anyway, here you are:

Here is the flower cut with the Flower Diasies no.2 die and the Big Shot. The brad in the middle is one of the in-colour brads, so it matches the base card perfectly.

Here is a close up of the greeting. I stamped it in Versamark ink and embossed it with white embossing powder. I then coloured the letters in with the Calypso Coral marker pen.

Here are some more cards I made as thank you cards for ladies who placed an order last week. These are slightly smaller so there wasn't really room for a flower, so I used the Beautiful Wings embosslits instead:

The colours for these are Calypso Coral, Pool Party, Melon Mambo Wisteria Wonder and Concord Crush. Here are a couple of close ups. Hope you like them. x

Sale-A-Bration time with Elementary Elegance

Hi everyone, have you had a look yet at all the gorgeous FREE stamp sets and papers you could get during Sale-A-Bration? All my goodies arrived on Monday and they are gorgeous.

I did a workshop on Wednesday and a very big Thank You to the hostess, Samanthi. The majority of the people who came, managed to earn a FREE stampset so don’t delay and get in touch to either book a party/workshop or to place an order.

This is the card we made as a Make and Take using Elementary Elegance. It was simple but very effective and everyone did a beautiful job:

We used So Saffron card and Soft Suede ink. Some Very Vanilla satin ribbon and some rhinestones to finish it off. The curly label punch matches the centre of the stamped image perfectly, so that is what we used to create the centre label in Very Vanilla cardstock.

When I got home I wanted to have a play with my Spritzer tool which also arrived on monday. I love the effect you can get with this gadget. It 'blows' ink from a marker pen onto your card, so you can use any colour you like. I used Soft Suede to match the ink I had stamped with. Here's the result. I think it really adds a little 'something' and stops the card looking quite so 'bare'. What do you think?
Here's a close up. This is so easy to do. Get in touch to get your FREEBIES, so you can use these lovely stamps.

Posted by PicasaI'll be back soon with some Sale-A-Bration cards. Keep checking. x
