Tic Tac Treat Cups

As Part of the class we did for Celebrations/Valentines, we made these tic tac holders using the Circle Treat Cups. There's a Birthday Version and a Valentine's version:

I got the idea from this website. Sam makes the most amazing boxes, bags and other projects. We used the Fresh Prints DSP stack for the birthday one but unfortunately the Valentine papers, and heart treat cups are retired. As I still had some though, it seemed a shame not to use them.

I'll show you the box we made, to fit these in, next time. x

Celebration Card

Here's a bright, clean card for you today. I used the Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper Stack. I love these papers as they are so clean looking with great colours.

The tag was cut using the Chalk Talk Framelits and Coastal Cabana card. The bow was made using Crum Cake Seam Binding and the flowers were punches using the Boho Blossoms punch and the small flower from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack.

Here's a Valentine's version of the same card:

This uses the the small and large heart punches.

Hope you like them both. xx

Gold embossed Swallowtail

I have realised I don't show you half the projects we make because I don't have much time to write these posts. So, from now on, I'm going to keep the chat to a minimum and make a real effort to show you the projects. I'll just give you the necessary details.

I reckon that must be better than having lots of photos of projects that never see the light of day. So here's the first one:

This uses the Swallowtail stamp, stamped in Versamark onto Vellum, and embossed with gold embossing powder. The light wasn't very good but hopefully, you can see it better in the next 2 photos:

I used Stampin' Up markers to colour on the back of the Vellum, which gives a lovely soft colour from the front. The colours I used were Pink Pirouette, Blushing Bride, Crisp Cantaloupe and Calypso Coral.

Hope you like this  card. This class will take place on Wed 19th Feb, so it's not too late to join in. Why not have a go. x

Playing in the Sea - Wetlands

Hi everyone, I've realised that I haven't shown you the Wetlands cards in detail. So I'll show you them over the next few posts. This was the biggest card we made. It's actually A5 sized:

The card base is Marina Mist, with layers of Soft Sky and Soft Suede. To create the background I tore some paper to mask the top and bottom, and used the sponge daubers to sponge the sky and sand. The Wetlands stamp set comes with some great greetings and I stamped the birds, reeds and greeting in Early Espresso. Here's a close up:

I hope you like this card. Check back for the others soon. If you would like to buy any of these products please click on the link in the sidebar on the right of my blog. x

Valentine Class (or not) 5th February

Hi everyone, this week we are making projects for Valentine's day or if you prefer, you can make them for a more general occasion. Here's a photo of both sets together. The general set is on the left and the Valentine projects are on the right:

We will be making a card, a tic tac holder, a box to keep the tic tac holder in, and a box to hold some chocolates.
If you would like to join us for this class, please contact me on 07970 708348 or email me on mapleleafstampin@yahoo.co.uk. Cost is £12 as per usual which includes everything you will need and the class will be held at my house on Wed 5th Feb, 7.00-9.30pm.

We will be using the envelope punch board to make one of these projects. It's my new favourite tool as it's so versatile, and I'll be having a whole class devoted to this lovely new tool soon, so watch this space.

I'll be highlighting each project individually soon but in the meantime, I hope you can join us on Wednesday.
