Graduation time

One of my work colleagues got word that she had passed her degree recently, so I made her a quick graduation card. I used the owl stamp from the retired sale-a-bration Punch Bunch set but the good news is that the owl punch is now in the mini catalogue, so you really don't need the stamp if you don't have it.

Here's the card:

and a couple of close ups:

The degree is just a rolled up piece of paper. The leaves have been punched using the 2 step bird punch. I used the scallop trim border punch to create the edge on basic black card and added a bit of bling by adding basic rhinestones. Congrats was stamped in white using a stamp from the Basic Phrases stamp set. See you soon.

First Post

After much messing about, I think I am now at the point of actually posting something on my blog. And what better place to start than with a baby card.
Some very good friends of ours have just become grandparents for the second time, and that is all the excuse I needed to make this card.

I used Bashful Blue and Whisper White cardstock. Some designer paper from the Subtles Designer Series Paper Patterns Stack and the baby stamp from the Sale-A-Bration Punch Bunch set (now retired). I also used a few of the fantastic Basic Pearls and some 6 mm Whisper White grosgrain ribbon
