Christmas card class Wed Dec 4th

Good morning. We will be making these cards in our next class on Wednesday December 4th:

We will be using the Lovely as a Tree stamp set to make these beautiful Christmas cards. These are just some I made and I was playing with different colours. Below we have Island Indigo, Elegant Eggplant and Old Olive:

And these 2 are in Soft Suede and Bermuda Bay:

Here is a close up of the Island Indigo one. These photos are not very good as it was already getting dark but I hope you can see enough:

And just to let you see the glitter 'snow' on the branches:

Here's a closer look at the sponging done with the daubers

If you fancy joining us then please email me at mapleleafstampin@yahoo.co.uk to book your place. The class will be held from 7.00-9.30pm and the cost is £12 as usual which includes everything you need to make 4 cards. You can make these cards in any colour you like, so let me know your choices when you book. See you soon.x

Patchwork Flower Shop

Here is the last of our Flower Shop cards. This one uses the 'patchwork' flower:

I used 2 of the In Colours, Crisp Cantaloupe and Strawberry Slush. The sentiment is from the Blooming with Kindness stamp set and the flowers were punched using the Pansy Punch.

There are 6 flowers in the Flower Shop stamp set and we only used 3 in this class. Here are the others:

This set can be bought as a bundle, the Flower Shop stamp set and the Pansy Punch for £31.75 ( 132727, wood) or £28.25 (132726, clear). If you would like to buy this, you can do so in my online shop www.mapleleafstampin.stampinup.net
Hope you liked these examples. x

Squigly Flower Shop Card

Here's another one of the cards we made with the Flower Shop stamp set. All the flower stamps are different and all can be punched out using the Pansy Punch. I call this the squiggly flower:

We stamped the flowers down the edge and then cut round them. We then stamped some separate flowers and added them with 3D pads. Some Rhinestones finished it off. We also stamped the envelope flap as you can see below. x

Autumn Wreath

Morning everyone, I don't seem to be able to stop making these wreaths. I just love them. This is my version of an Autumn Wreath.

I used the Sweater Weather designer papers and the Autumn Accents die. I also used the Burlap ribbon  to make my flowers and the Vintage Faceted buttons to add a bit of bling. Most of the leaves were textured with a variety of embossing folders and sponged round the edges.

Here's a close up of the 'flowers'. The big one was made by just sewing a running stitch along one edge and pulling the ends together. The small one were made in the same way but I cut the ribbon in half lengthways first.

All products can be found in my shop as usual. x

Vellum flower shop cards

I've realised that I haven't shown you these Flower Shop cards, which we made some time ago in one of our classes.

We used the Flower Shop stamp set with the matching Pansy Punch. If you're going to stamp onto vellum, you need to use StazOn so that it doesn't smudge and dries quickly. The sentiment panel has been cut using the Window Frames Collection dies and the Big Shot. Here's a close up of the flowers. I used a dauber and Daffodil Delight to colour the flower centre:

Here is each card again:

The sentiments are from a set that is now retired but there are lots of other sentiments you can use. I hope you like these cards. They have a lovely delicate feel to them. x

Meet me by the Well bookmarks

I was recently asked to make some commemorative bookmarks for a church event. The theme was 'Meet Me By The Well' and I had to make 100 of them.

I made a small 'wallet' and used the Two Tags die (now retired) to make the bookmarks. I printed some pictures of a well and also printed the labels. I stamped a flower image as background on the book mark and used the Trust God stamp set for the sentiment.

Here are all 100 of them. The colour combinations are: Island Indigo/Pool Party; Raspberry Ripple/Pink Pirouette; Elegant Eggplant/Wisteria Wonder and Night of Navy/Bashful Blue (retired).

It was a lot of work but the effort was appreciated.x

Creative Tour Make & Takes

Here are the Make & Takes, all made up. We used the Gingham Garden washi tape, which is soo easy to use.

Anyone who knows me, knows I'm not a fan of anything that I don't consider neat. Washi tape comes into that category as you tear the tape, leaving a jagged edge. Well, that was a step too far for me, so I cut mine with scissors. Having done that, I actually really liked using it. It was so quick and easy. In fact I'm planning to do a Christmas class, using washi tape, for quick and easy Christmas cards, so keep an eye on my blog. Here's the second card:

And a close up of the butterfly, button and baker's twine:

Even the envelopes were decorated with washi tape:

Check back soon for more projects. x

Creative Tour freebies

A quick post today to show you what we got when we went to the Stampin' Up! Creative Tour in Loughborough last Wednesday:

We got everything we needed to make two Make & Takes - the muslim bag and the Notecards. We got the Love & Joy stamp (to stamp on the Muslim bag with), and we got a bracelet which is actually a USB memory stick. It has a copy of the FREE My Digital Studio trial and an extra little download for demos.

I had a lovely evening and received some beautiful swops, which I'll show you later. I was too busy taking photos to make my projects, so have taken them home to make and will show them to you when they're finished. If you want the chance to come to these Stampin' Up! events, why not contact me about joining my team.

Check back soon to see the latest. x

Clearance rack now available in the UK

For the first time ever, we now have the Clearance Rack available in the UK. This means retired products can be bought at hugely discounted prices.

The best way to buy clearance rack products is to go to my online shop by clicking HERE or by clicking on the  Order Now button at the right of my blog.

Once you're on my page (my name is in the right hand corner), click the SHOP button at the top to go to the online shop. Clearance rack is the second option in the list on the left.

Although you can try and order these products through me, the clearance rack changes all the time and products are only available while stocks last. If you wait for me to place an order, the product you want may be sold out. So to prevent you from being disappointed, you just need to create an account, and order it yourself. Your order will be sent straight to your house. (P&P charges apply). You can obviously add anything else you want too. P&P is the same, no matter how big your order is. If you spend more than £150, you will qualify for FREE hostess goodies, just as you would do if you were hosting a party.

I hope you enjoy having a look. Who can resist a bargain eh? x

Stampin' Up! Creative Tour Swaps

Hi everyone, tonight I'm going to Stampin' Up's Creative Tour in Loughborough. I'm not sure what to expect but we've all been invited to make swaps.

Swaps are made by the demonstrators and, guess what.... they are swapped. This gives everyone lots of samples using current products.

I didn't have a lot of time to make my swaps so I've kept it very simple, using the Tape It stamp set. This isn't marketed as a Christmas Stamp Set but I think, by using Christmassy colours, it works just fine.

The greeting is from a stamp set that has been carried over from last year. It's not in the catalogue but if you click here, you'll find a PDF with carried over stamps (Autumn/Winter Carryover). This set is called Greetings of the Season. I used Real Red, Old Olive and Crumb Cake for my colour scheme. Here are a few more. In total I made about 20:

All products can be ordered from my online store by clicking HERE.

I'll be back with more news from the evening soon. x

By the Tide

Hi everyone, I have been absent for so long, I bet you've forgotten me. I've been on holiday and although I had lots of projects and photos prepared to show you, while I was away, I didn't get round to sorting it. We had very dodgy internet acces while away, so you ended up with nothing!!

I'm going to try and make it up to you by showing you all the things I had prepared, over the next few weeks.

This card uses the By The Tide stamp set which is in the new catalogue. I did a class with this set this week so will post those projects too, over the next few days. Although this one says Father's Day, you can obviously make it for any occassion.

I gold embossed the coral behind the 3D shapes. You can see it better here:

The block of colour which creates the background was done by inking a clear stamp block, all over, with Crumb Cake ink and then spritzing it with water, and using it as a stamp. Once it dries it leaves a lovely, 'textured' background.

I even stamped the insert:

and the envelope:

I hope you like this. I will show you the other By The Tide projects soon. x

Best of Everything Gift Set

Good morning, today I am showing you some projects we made in card class in May. I'm so behind with blogging that I didn't get a chance to show them to you in advance.
In this class we made a gift box, containing 4 cards which were made with the  Best Of Everything stamp set. I love this set. It's clean and modern and looks great in any colour.

We used some retired Designer Papers in this class but obviously you can use any designer papers you like. The cardstock colours are: Wisteria Wonder, Lucky Limeade and Calypso Coral. Here are the 4 cards:

And here's the box. We made the rosette on the Simply Scored board, and made the insert for the clear box:

Here are all of the projects together. I'm sorry the picture quality isn't better but I took these photos very late at night. x
