Happy Valentine's Day

Hi everyone, this is the card we made to match the Valentine's box, which I showed you last time:

This again uses You are Loved and That's the Ticket stamp sets, with the Heart punch and the Ticket punch but this time I have used different designer papers. We used Pool Party from the Designer paper stack and First Edition DSP. I used marker pens to colour the heart stamp with Real Red and Pool Party before punching out the heart. The die-cut heart is from the More Amore DSP. Here are some close ups:

The lovely edge along the bottom of the card is one of the Finishing Touches Edgelits, which is quickly becoming a favourite. I hope you like these projects. Let me know if you want to join us for any future classes. x

Valentine gift box

Hi everyone, today I'm sharing the Valentine's gift box we made in class, last week. It's hard to show you all of it in one photo but here is one view:

The box was made using Real Red cardstock and More Amore DSP. These designer papers come with 2 sheets of die cut hearts, so we cut some of them out and used them for the box and the matching card which I will show you in a few days. Here's a better view of the top:

We used 2 stamp sets on this project- You are loved was stamped in Real Red and then punched using the Heart Punch, and That's the Ticket was used, surprisingly enough, for the tickets. We used the Valentine's ticket and the Admit One ticket. This stamp set is new and can be found in the Spring/Summer catalogue with it's matching punch - so much easier than hand cutting.

I will show you the matching card next time. I may have to make another set of these as my son has decided he should have these for his girlfriend.... x

An Envelope Full of Love

Morning everyone, I'm going to show you one of the Valentine projects today. This card uses the Scallop Envelope die and is pretty easy to make:

The base card is Pool Party cardstock and the DSP is More Amore, which is one of my favourites. You can find it in the new Spring/Summer catalogue (see link and picture at the side of my blog).

We used the triple heart punch (now retired) and the small heart punch to punch hearts out of Primrose Petals, Real Red and Pool Party cardstock. If you don't want to use hearts, you can use a flower punch such as the Boho Blossoms punch instead.

The sentiment is from the Sale-A-Bration set Vintage Verses, which can be yours free, with a £45 order (see below). I happened to have some pink heart crystals (not SU) which completed the look.

I will also share this small gift:which we made:

This is a small cellephone bag (available from Stampin Up, page 163), filled with pink smarties. I used the You are Loved stamp set and Decorative Label punch, to create the topper.

Don't forget to look at the new Spring/Summer catalogue, and I'll be back with more soon. x

February Calendar Page

Good morning. As we're heading towards the end of January, it's about time I showed you February's Calendar's page. I used the More Amore designer papers for the background and these gorgeous papers come with 2 sheets of die cut hearts.

We used one of the Primrose Petals hearts, and stamped another heart using the You Are Loved stampset and Real red ink. This heart was cut out, by hand, and all the elements were positioned on the page.

Simple but effective. I used the same papers for the Valentine's projects this year, so check back soon for details. If you want to join us for the Valentine's class on the 30th, please check out the classes tab (at the top of the blog) and let me know by 6pm on Tuesday. I'll be posting details of the projects soon. x

Happy Valentine's Day

Oh dear. Valentine's Day is nearly over and I'm only just posting this. I was planning to do it this morning but I didn't get a minute. Here is the card I made for my husband:

I saw something similar on the internet ages ago but can't remember who made it, so I can't give any credit. This card was made in Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White cardstock. I punched out lots of leaves, using the Bird Builder punch and then drew a heart shape on my card, after I had put it through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder. I then stuck the leaves down, following the heart outline:

I punched 2 birds from Whisper White and very lightly inked the edges with Crumb Cake ink - just enough to make them stand out a bit. I then stamped the sentiment using my new For my Family stamp set. This contains lots of great words which you can use to personalise any card. The sentiment was punched out using the Modern Label punch:

Naturally the card wouldn't have been complete without a reference to Valentine's Day so I used the Valentine's sentiment from the You Are Loved stampset and stamped it on the inside of the card:

I hope you like this card. It could be used for all sorts of occassions, including weddings and the colours could be matched to anniversaries, bridesmaids dresses etc. Remember, if you would like to buy any of the products, just give me a ring. x

You are Loved -Last 2 cards

Here they are, the last 2 cards we made in card class. This next one could be used as a Valentine's card  or would work just as well as an Aniversary card:

I've used Cherry Cobbler for the card base and stamped my heart image on Very Vanilla, using Versamark ink. I then heat embossed it using the new Cherry Cobbler embossing powder. The label was stamped with Pretty in Pink ink and the centre of the label was stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink. They were then punched out using the Decorative Label and Large Oval punch. A bit of ribbon and a few Rhinestones finished it off:

The last card was done more with weddings and engagements in mind. It is very similar to one of the other cards we made, with a few variations. Again I used Crumb Cake for the contrast although it looks green in the photo.

The only difference with this card is that I used Crumb Cake seam binding and I used the Congratulations sentiment from the Curly Cute stamp set. Otherwise, the instructions are the same as for my last post.

I hope you like these cards and that I have shown you the potential of the You are Loved stamp set. I received my order today, so check back soon for some Sale-A-Bration samples. Also remember that the next card class is on February 8th and if you would like some FREE Sale-A-Bration goodies, all you need to do is place a £45 order. x

You are Loved - First 2 cards

Hi everyone, well it's time to show you what you can do with the gorgeous You are Loved stamp set. I'll show you 2 of the cards we made at card class, today. At first glance you may think this set is for Valentine cards only but you would be so wrong. Here is a birthday card we made with it:

The base card is Pink Pirouette with a strip of Regal Rose designer paper and a touch of Old Olive which has been punched with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch. The stamp was coloured using marker pens. This gives a multi coloured effect:

I also used marker pens to colour the flower image and then layered the flower heads. I stamped the label using Regal Rose ink and the stamped the greeting separately. I punched the label with the Decorative Label punch and the greeting with the Large Oval punch:

The next card I want to show you is a Valentine card. After all, it is nearly that time of year. Now you have to excuse the colours in these photos. Although it looks green, the strip across the Very Vanilla base card, is actually Crumb Cake:

I used the flower image to stamp the background on the Crumb Cake strip and the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch to punch the Cherry Cobbler strips:

The hearts were stamped with Crumb Cake ink and then punched using the Full Heart punch. The greeting was also stamped in Crumb Cake and both the hearts and greeting were decorated with pearls.

Check back soon as I'll show you the other 2 cards we made. Remember, if you place a £45 order, you get a FREE stamp set or papers from the Sale-A-Bration leaflet. x
