Last 2 days

Morning everyone, as promised I have 2 cards to show you today, made with the other flowers from the Reason to Smile stamp set. Here is the first one:

I used Cherry Cobbler cardstock for this one. I stamped the image in Versamark ink and heat embossed it using Cherry Cobbler embossing powder. Hopefully this gives you a better view and a close up of that gorgeous Scalloped Dots ribbon - also in Cherry Cobbler.

You can get the Reason to Smile stamp set for free if you place an order of £60 or more before the end of August or you can buy it BUT only till August 31st.

Here's another card. This time I used Basic Black card stock and again stamped using versamark ink, but this time I used white embossing powder:

And the inevitable close up:

Here are both of them. I must admit I quite like simple colour schemes like this. The sentiments were from Sincere Salutations and Curly Cute.

If you want this set or anything from the Summer mini, please contact me before the 31st August so I can place your order. I'll be back soon with news of our Autumn/Winter catalogue which launces on September 1st and has lots and lots of fantastic seasonal porducts. Check back on the 1st so you can have a look. x

Gift boxes

Hi everyone, do you know there are only 3 more days left when you can order products from the summer mini catalogue and get the Reason to Smile for FREE when you spend £60?
Some of the products may appear in the new main catalogue which will launch on October 1st but there is no guarantee.

Today I'm showing you some gift boxes and matching cards which I have made using the Mixed Bunch stamp set and the Blossom punch which are both in the summer catalogue and may be discontinued. I found a tutorial for these gift boxes on Helen Read's blog. You can find it here.

I am starting a new job on Monday and have made a gift box for everyone in my current team, to be filled with chocolates. I also made a matching card for each one. The sentiment was stamped using Curly Cute. Here are some of them:

Melon Mambo cardstock and Flirtatious Speciality DSP:

Pool Party Cardstock and Sweet Shop DSP:

My personal favourite: Soft Suede cardstock and Mocha Morning DSP:

Here is a close up of the flower. I punched 4 flowers using the Blossom punch, using 4 different patterns from the designer papers. I then misted each flower with water, crumpled them and then stacked them. Each one has a stamped centre from the Mixed Bunch stamp set and has been fastened with a matching brad.

And here is one in Marina Mist cardstock and Nursery Nest DSP:

Here are all 4 of them with their matching cards:

And here are another 4 which I made with discontinued designer paper:

Remember all the speciality papers will be discontinued when the new catalogue comes out in October and the ones that are in the Summer mini will be discontinued in 3 days time. If you've loved these papers but haven't ordered any yet, then now is the time. Just contact me.

I'll be back tomorrow with the last of the cards made with the Reason to Smile stamp set. Get it while you can. x

Owl Gift boxes

Hi everyone, today I am showing you these owl gift boxes which I saw on Jenny Moors website. Jenny designs some great projects and you can buy the tutorial from Jenny. I saw these and just had to make a couple:

This one was made using Jenny's colour scheme of Chocolate Chip, Melon Mambo and Wild Wasbi:

Here is a side view. I should have taken a photo of the box open, but I forgot so you'll have to take my word for it that the front 'face' is held down by a velcro dot and you lift it back to open it:

Here's a different colour scheme: Bravo Burgundy, More Mustard and Wild Wasbi although in the photo it doesn't look much different from the Chocolate Chip:

I hope you like these. Think I might make them in some really bright colours too. Have a great day.x

Reason to Smile 3

Good morning everyone. This is the last card using this particular flower stamp from the set. There are other flower stamps so I'll show you them later. This card was made using Rose Red card stock:

This time I only stamped the flower with the solid image. Like this:

I used Perfect Plum as the contrast colour (although it looks different in the photo) I cut the greeting frame using the Lots of Tags dies and the Big Shot. I used the Modern Label punch to cut the Whisper White label. The greeting was stamped using the Petite Pairs stamp set.

Again this photo shows how everything matches beautifully. The ink and brads are both in Rose Red. I hope you have great day. x

Reason to Smile - a vision in More Mustard

Hi again everyone. Here's the second Reason to Smile card. This time I used More Mustard for my colour scheme. Here you are:

I added some glitter to the flowers this time. It's difficult to see unless you look closely at this photo:

I used More Mustard paper from the Regals Series Designer Stack and cut the edge using one of the lovely Adorning Accents Edgelits dies and the Big Shot. I've had these for ages but this is the first time I've used them. They are in the Summer mini catalogue. Remember this catalogue is only valid till 31st August so if you want them, don't delay ordering.

The photo above shows how all the products co-ordinate beautifully. The ribbon is the Scalloped Dots ribbon and the sentiment is from the Happiest Birthday Wishes stamp set which is a hostess set. Why not contact me to arrange a party to earn your own set. I'll be back with the third card using this set soon. x

Reason to Smile

Hi everyone. Well I'm finally back and had a chance to do some crafting. As promised, I've used the gorgeous Reason to Smile stampset which you can get FREE during August, if you spend £60 or you can just buy it - BUT it's available only during August. Here's the first card:

I used Perfect Plum and Rose Red for this card. I stamped the flower heads twice, cut them out and stuck them on using 3D pads. Here's a close up:

You can see in the photo above that the stamp set is a 2 step stamp set. That means that you stamp something twice. In this case you stamp a solid flower and then the outline of individual petals on top. The butterflies were cut using the Beautiful Wings embosslit and the Big Shot. A few rhinestones finished them off.
The border was punched using the Lace Ribbon border punch and again finished off with some rhinestones.

The background paper is from the Subtles Designer Paper Stack and it's Perfect Plum.

I hope you like this card. I'll be back soon with another example. x

Great August Offer - A Reason to Smile

Hi everyone, did you miss me? Many apologies for suddenly disappearing on you. I've just come back from from a lovely holiday ( I was away for nearly 3 weeks), and things got a bit hectic before I went away.

I'm straight back to work, so haven't had time to do any crafting yet but I need to share August's great Stampin' Up! offer with you:

You can get this fantastic stamp set absolutely FREE if you spend £60 on Stampin' Up! goodies. This set is beautiful (as a demonstrator I earned it for free last month), and I'll post some samples soon:

If you don't want to spend £60, then you can just buy this set but it will only be around for the month of August, so don't wait too long. I'm planning to place an order mid August so let me know if there's anything you want. Hope to hear from you soon. x
