New Hostess 10 Club

Hi everyone. This is a bit of long post but I want to make sure you all know how great the hostess 10 club is. Would you like to be able to get some of the hostess freebies without ever hosting a party? Do you like lots of things in the catalogue but don't want to spend a lot of money in one go? Then the hostess 10 club is for you.

I need 10 people to join the club and everyone one of you will, at some point during the club's 10 month lifetime, receive at least one of the level one free hostess stamp sets and £15 of free goods of your choice, from any of the current catalogues.

Here are some of the hostess stamp sets and you will receive one, of your choice, for free:

The way it works is like this: You order at least £15 per month of Stampin Up goodies, plus 50p P&P and you will be allocated a month. When it is your month, you will get to choose the hostess set of your choice and £15 off free products. That is all there is to it. You commit to stay in the club for 10 months. This means everyone gets a 'hostess month'. If you think you may consistently spend more than £15, you can take 2 or more places.

I would like to have this club up and running by the end of July. This means you get to take advantage of the retired list of products in September (the Stampin Up sale); the launch of the new catalogue in October (I will give everyone who joins a FREE copy of the new catalogue worth at least £5.95); any Christmas promotion; Sale-a-Bration in Jan/Feb, where you get additional free stamp sets if you spend a certain amount and the launch of the new mini catalogue in April (again, you get a FREE copy).

So, what are you waiting for? Ring or email me today, to make sure you get a place. You too can make brilliant projects like this:

Remember: a FREE hostess set, £15 worth of goods for FREE, a FREE Ideas Book & Catalogue in October, A FREE mini catalogue in April.

In addition, I only have a few of the current Idea Books and Catalogues left but the first 3 people who sign up will get one of these for FREE too. These catalogues are great, not just to see the products but also to use as inspiration for your own projects.

Get in touch to sign up, or if you want any further information. x

Baby Blossom Stamp Class and Owl punch Class

Hi all, I've been a bit remiss and not blogged recently, No excuse really although we have been away to a lovely wedding.

I wanted to share some of the fun we had at the last card class, and some of the projects we made.

I also want to make you all aware of the next 2 classes I have planned. One on July 13th, using the Baby Blossom stamp set, and one on July 20th using the Owl Punch. Have a look at the classes tab at the top of my blog for more details. There is an extra special offer if you order both classes and the punch and stamp set but I need to know before June 30th.

This is what we'll be making with the Baby Blossom set:

Anyway, back to our last class where we used the Hope and Strength stamp set to make a box and decorate a candle. Everyone was hard at work:

And this is some of what they made:

And a close up:

It had been Pat's birthday the week before. Pat is my mother-in-law and guess what she got for her birthday?... We gave her a Big Shot!! She was very pleased and here's a picture of her unwrapping it:

If you would like to join in the fun, have a look at the more detailed information in the classes tab, and contact me as soon as possible. I look forward to talking to you. x

Happy Father's Day

This is one of the cards we made in the Masculine Cards class a couple of weeks ago. It's an easel card, using the Plane and Simple stamp set.

I used Cherry Cobbler, Not Quite Navy and More Mustard cardstock. The background was embossed using the square lattice embossing folder. I used the modern label and word window punches to make the greeting.
Here's a side view:

Some regal buttons and linnen thread completed the card. Happy Father's Day!

Happy Birthday, Son

My eldest son was 22 last week. I made him this card based on a sketch from Mojo Monday.

Actually, looking at it now, I should have done something with the large open orange space on the right, and to be fair, it did have some more detail on the sketch, but I forgot... Ah well....

I used More Mustard, Certain Celery and Marina Mist cardstock and Designer papers; Marina Mist ink and Marina Mist satin ribbon. The stamp sets I used are Curly Cute and 'son' was stamped using the Just Perfect Alphabet and the Stamp-a-ma-jig.

Here's a close up;

This card is by no means perfect but I hope it gives you some inspiration. My son liked it, no matter what. x

Top Note Box Class

We made this box at our team training a while ago using the Top Note Die and the Big shot.

During the Masculine cards class last night, I was asked to show people how to make this box in the next class, instead of doing scrapbooking. I aim to please so at the next class on 22nd June, 7.00-9.30pm, we will make a Top Note Box and I will teach you how to stamp on a candle, as in this example which I have posted before.

Both the box and the card are only examples and the stamp set we will use, on the night, will be the charity set Strength and Hope. Stampin' Up! will donate £1 from every set sold to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. For more details of the class please have a look at the classes tab at the top of the blog.

Back to the box. I used Rose Red cardstock and Springtime Vintage Papers. The flowers were cut using the Fun Flowers die, and some have been embossed with the Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder.

The inside is divided into compartments.

Remember, if you would like to have a go at making one of these boxes or learn how to decorate a candle using stamps, contact me to book your place on the class on the 22nd June. x

My Diary

I have been wanting to alter my diary, ever since I saw the altered notebook in the Idea Book & Catalogue on page 64. I bought the Notably Ornate stamp set (17.95 clear, £22.95 wood) to make a birthday card for my daughter (which I haven't shared with you yet). She's not really into card making and it was one of the few sets she really liked. I actually love this set. It's so versatile and stamps beautifully every time. So, this is what I did to my diary:

I used Riding Hood Red cardstock, and the coordinating Love Letter Designer papers. The 2011 was cut using my Big Shot and a Sizzlets alphabet - you could use the Timeless Type Junior Alphabet.

I stamped the letter 'S' using the Broadsheet Alphabet and fit it into one the beautiful frames that you get in the Hodgepodge Hardware set.

I used the 1-1/4 striped grosgrain ribbon in Real Red to decorate the front but I also wanted it to act as a book mark, so I left a length to go inside the diary and added a punched flower to give it some weight. The flower was created using the 5 Petal flower and the Boho Blossoms punch.

I made sure everything was stuck down really well especially all the edges, as my diary is in and out of my bag all day long and I don't want to accidently pull anything off. That is why I've not used any 3D elements. I reckon this diary will explain what I do far better than words could and, as I go to lots of meetings, I may even get some parties/orders out of it. Have a go yourself and alter something. I'd love to see the results. x
