February Calendar Page

Good morning. As we're heading towards the end of January, it's about time I showed you February's Calendar's page. I used the More Amore designer papers for the background and these gorgeous papers come with 2 sheets of die cut hearts.

We used one of the Primrose Petals hearts, and stamped another heart using the You Are Loved stampset and Real red ink. This heart was cut out, by hand, and all the elements were positioned on the page.

Simple but effective. I used the same papers for the Valentine's projects this year, so check back soon for details. If you want to join us for the Valentine's class on the 30th, please check out the classes tab (at the top of the blog) and let me know by 6pm on Tuesday. I'll be posting details of the projects soon. x

Christmas Ornament

Hi everyone, I thought I would show you the Christmas Ornament we made before Christmas. This is also on the front cover of the Autumn/Winter catalogue and there are lots of You Tube videos showing you how to make it. I know it may seem a bit odd showing you this now, after Christmas, but there is not much time left to buy the products to create this lovely ornament:

We used the Ornament Keepsakes stamp set and matching Holiday Ornaments framelits dies. We stamped the ornaments in Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler ink.

To complete the ornament we used the Scalloped Tulle Ribbon. I didn't think I would like this ribbon but it's lovely and soft and drapes beautifully. One of the Vintage Faceted buttons completes the look.

If you would like to order these products to make your own ornaments, you will need to do so before Jan 31st 2013 as the Autumn/Winter catalogue will no longer be valid after that date. Remember also that Sale-A-Bration starts on the 22nd January so you can get FREE products if you spend at least £45. If you buy the Ornament Keepsakes stamp set and the Framelits together, you get them for a special price, which will go a long way towards the £45 and your free goodies. x

Sale-A-Bration sneak peek

Morning everyone. Today I thought I would show you a sneak peek of one of the FREE Sale-A-Bration stamp sets you can soon get when you spend £45 on products. This set is called Bloomin' Marvelous and contains some lovely sayings as well as a butterfly, flower, leaf and bird stamps. I used the butterfly to decorate this gift bag:

I use some other new products on this bag too. I used the Window Frames Framelits Collection to cut my  shapes out of Whisper White and Primrose Petal and stamped them with the FREE stamp set. I then used the Itty Bitty punch pack to punch some flower shapes.

The lovely edging was cut using the Finishing Touches Edgelits. This is a set of 2 dies -one cuts the scallop edge as shown, the other edge is a zig zag. Here's a closer look:

I then stamped the butterflies, randomly, all over the bag. Here it is again. It was difficult to show you the bag without also photographing all the mess on my desk!

I hope you like this set as much as I do. Sale-A-Braton runs from 22nd January till 22nd March. There are additional rewards for hosting a party, so get in touch of you fancy a fun night with your friends.

I'll be back soon with another calendar insert. x

Calendar Class Wed 16th - January

Hi everyone, well my good intentions re blogging haven't gone too well so far but here I am with news of our first class of 2013.

We will be making inserts for the Stampin Up Calendar display and in this class we'll be making January-June. Therw will be another class later in the year to amke July-December.

To give you a bit of a taste of what we'll be doing, this is January's insert:

I used the Decorative label punch to punch labels from the Patio Party designer papers and folded them in half. I used Midnight Muse for the background and printed the months from the internet onto Very Vanilla cardstock. (You can find them here)

The numbers were stamped using the Memorable Moments stamp set and punched using the 3/4 circle punch.

The 'hello' is from the My Friend stamp set. It was stamped in Versamark ink and embossed with gold embossing powder.

If you would like to join us for this class, using lots of different stamp sets and techniques, then please contact me by 6pm on Tuesday 15th Jan. Cost is £12 and this includes the calendar display case.

I'll show you the other months we've made over the next few posts. Remember that the Autumn/Winter catalogue finishes on the 31st January so if you'd like to order anything from this catalogue, don't wait too long and let me know. x

Happy New Year everyone. First of all I have to apologise for not blogging for ages. Lots of things happened to my family before Christmas and, to be honest, crafting was the last thing on my mind. However, it's a New Year, so it's a new start with lots of crafting and blogging to be done.

Stampin' Up! has lots of new products to share with us all soon, and I have lots of classes and projects planned, so here's to a creative 2013!

I have realised that I didn't show you the beautiful ornament we made in the last card class before Christmas. Although Christmas has been and gone, it's not too late to order from the Autumn/Winter catalogue so I'll show you the ornament in the next few days. Until then, take care. x
